Laura and I live together in Johnstown. Usually we spend the few days around Christmas at her parents’ place in Ohio, but this year my mom was in town from San Fransisco. The first dinner was at our house late Christmas Eve. My mom, her husband and his family, my sister, my uncle, his kids and his girlfriend all came over for a non-traditional meal that my mom had prepared. As opposed to a turkey or ham and the works, we ate dishes that mom liked to prepare when she used to live in Johnstown. All the stress of having a dinner at my house aside, the night was really nice.
